invigoratedlife Tip #1 - Drink more water
You are not hungry - you are thirsty! So often we open the frig, reach into the pantry, or wander around the kitchen looking for that morsel of food that will satisfy us. Try drinking down an 8 ounce glass of filtered water first. Then wait.... and see if you are still hungry.
Most Americans are chronically dehydrated. Dehydration causes headaches, fatigue, hunger and constipation. Even mild dehydration will slow down your metabolism as much as 3%. Instead of drinking water, we fill up on sugary soda, diet soda, coffee, tea and juice. These are not substitutes for the 64 ounces of water you need to drink each day!
In fact, 64 ounces may not be enough. Take your weight in pounds and divide by 2. That is how many ounces of water you should drink each day. So if you weigh 200 pounds, you should drink 100 ounces of water each and every day.
